1. Who We Are

DeepAICircle (deepaicircle.com) is a personal hobby project operated by an individual developer. It is not a registered business, LLC, or corporation. This policy describes how your information is handled when you use the platform.

2. What We Collect

• Account data: email address, username, display name, profile bio, profile photo (optional)
• Authentication: hashed password (never stored in plain text), or OAuth tokens if you sign in with Google or GitHub
• Content you post: posts, comments, likes, saves, follows
• Usage data: post view counts (anonymous, no IP logging)
• Newsletter: email address only, if you choose to subscribe

We do not collect your IP address, browsing history, device fingerprint, or any data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the platform (authentication, feed, profiles)
• To send transactional emails (welcome email, password reset)
• To send the weekly AI digest, if you subscribed
• To display your public profile and posts to other users

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

4. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (US region). The application is hosted on Vercel. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (cost factor 12). We use HTTPS for all connections.

We apply reasonable security measures, but no internet service is 100% secure. Use a unique password and do not share account credentials.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google / GitHub OAuth: if you sign in this way, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from those providers. Their own privacy policies apply.
• Resend: used to send transactional emails. Your email is passed to Resend solely for this purpose.
• Vercel Analytics: anonymous, cookie-free page view analytics. No personally identifiable data is shared.
• Groq / Anthropic: post content is sent to AI APIs to generate summaries. No personal account data is included.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing RoboteachAI@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You can delete your account from your profile settings. Deletion removes your personal data and all content you posted. Some data may remain in backup systems for up to 30 days.

7. Cookies & Sessions

We use a single session cookie (next-auth.session-token) to keep you logged in. This cookie contains no personally identifiable information — it is a secure, encrypted JWT. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

8. Children

DeepAICircle is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
